I’m not mad at HK because I expected no different from them. I think it’s funny that they say they have these problems yet FN has no such problems. They give consumers basically everything they want.
They have the same problems. They stopped importing FAL’s in 1989 just like HK with MP5’s etc.. Same with IMI/IWI with uzi’s and galils, same with Valmet’s, Steyr, Mitchell YUGO’s, etc. There is a reason they have PRE-BAN weapons and some people confuse pre-ban with the 1994 assault weapon ban, but that only really applies to US made guns, foreign guns have had to deal with an effective AWB since 1989 and even though the AWB sunset in 2004, the “non-sporting” import ban from 1989 is still in effect.
The difference is FNH has a factory over here, and if FN gives consumers everything they want how come I can’t buy an FN AR15? they already make M16’s? I love FN but they aren’t perfect, and they aren’t immune to the 1989 922(r) laws, not to mention the 2006 barrel ban. Before 2006 you could import parts kits with barrels but the ATF is no longer allowing them into the country that way. All the parts kits that come into the country now do not have barrels. Think about that if you could actually buy an mp7 but you couldn’t buy replacement parts for it.
